FUN-Damentals: K9 Fitness Foundations

Ever wondered where you should begin with K9 fitness? Or perhaps even…why?
The goal of K9 fitness is to not only build strength, but also help prevent injury in performance sports and everyday life.
Like us, dogs need an active lifestyle in order to maintain proper weight, improve balance and coordination and stay mentally and physically fulfilled!
My favorite bonus of K9 fitness is confidence. I have seen firsthand with my personal dog Annie and with other client’s dogs, how K9 fitness can really bring out a dog’s personality, give them the confidence to do more and create a happier, more fulfilled dog.

Who’s This Course For?

Performance Sport Dogs
My number one rule, is that if we’re asking our dogs to perform in a sport like agility, dock diving, etc., they need to be prepared for it. Building proper strength for take off, landing and overall support is important in preventing injury.

Everyday Pet Dogs
Even if your dog isn’t active in a performance sport, they need fitness too! It’s like us, right? I’m not an Olympian or training for any specific sport, but I do regular workouts to improve my overall health and wellness. The same applies to our dogs!

ALL DOGS!
I have always said that K9 fitness is for dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds! Whether you have a small dog or an extra large dog. Or a working breed dog or non-working breed dog. Or even a puppy or a senior dog. K9 fitness is for all dogs!
